The Mission

The Kiss Chronicles mission is to A) raise awareness and money for cancer charities and patients and B) blog about kissing and cancer-related charities.

A is the harder part of it. But toward that mission, here’s what I’ve done: I’ve written an ebook. It’s available for free, but with the suggestion that you make a donation to a cancer charity or do something active to help cancer patients (such as helping a friend who has cancer or volunteering or participating in a cancer charity event).

Simply, ebook in exchange for you doing something nice for someone and giving cancer a metaphorical punch in the kisser.

The book, titled simply Kiss Chronicles, is available on Smashwords, in the iTunes Store, on Amazon, at B&N online, and at Kobo.

I have a donation site set up here: Kiss Chronicles story on Razoo.

The rest of this page is a kind of history of the project.

The donation war project is on hold indefinitely.
In the meantime, I’ve come up with an alternative.
Please read more about the project update here.

Ahem, ahem. Pardon me. Official stuff here, you know. This may be a blog, but it’s connected to an idea and plan that, in some ways, overflow the regular bounds of a blog.

The Kiss Chronicles Mission:

  • Monetize my first kiss and present the proceeds to a charity.
  • Provide content that entertains and/or informs readers about kissing, charity, and/or kissing for charity.
  • Have fun.
  • Cats. It’s the Internet. Cats are a part of every mission on the Internet.

Elaboration on how I’m going to monetize my first kiss: The original idea was to host an auction. That ideas has been revisited and improved. Instead, I’m going to host a donation war. My phrase donation warrefers to the idea that I will set up a list of guys for people to vote for with a donation to charity. The one who wins the highest donation total would be the chosen kisser.

Elaboration on the charity focus: My goal is to benefit a charity that’s focused on cancer research and/or support. Cancer is…I don’t have any words for it. It IS, and it needs to NOT BE. This is personal for me. You can read about my journey to this point in my earlier post, A kiss for cancer.
